6/13/2010 The flounder fishing has picked up. We caught some nice Flounder at the Old Grounds and at Site 11. This past week/weekend we fished the South Jersey Shark Tournament. On Friday we were able to boat 4 makos and 2 blues. Our biggest shark tipping the scales at a whopping 155 lbs. On Saturday we caught 3 Makos that we released. The John Stetz group fished the tournament with us this weekend. They had a great time and where even able to take some meat home with them. To bad no money to go along with it! The Blue Fin tuna have showed up!!!! As a charter and party boat we are allowed to take 2 per boat, instead of only one as talked about in the beginning of the year. With warmer water moved / moving in we are expected to see more and more tuna along with some Mahi Mahi and some other species along with them. We still have some prime dates still open! Angler Joe O'Donnell (from Seaview) was able to reel in the big one. There have been some nice fluke caught in the bay. With a wide range of keepers an shorts, theres something for everyone fishermen, depending if there keeping the fish, or just catch and release. Some and seabass have also be caught at the old grounds. With the South Jersey Shark Tournament coming up, where looking to catch the big one. There have been some few makos an threshers around.
